The perfect grilled cheese needs to be
00:11
made with the perfect bread.
00:13
In this case it's made with Acme sourdough bread.
00:16
You want to have a nice slice that can absorb
00:18
a lot of butter, but still hold all that cheese in there.
00:22
You need a good mix of cheese, in this case we're using
00:25
Barely Buzzed, a mild cheddar,
00:27
and it's rubbed with espresso and lavender.
00:31
And Reading Raclette, another cheese made with
00:33
Jersey Milk from Vermont.
00:36
I'm gonna spread this cheese, you have to make sure
00:38
you get to the edge of the bread.
00:41
In your supermarket you might look for
00:43
an alpine style cheese like Swiss Cheese, or Emmentaler,
00:46
and those are cheeses that melt really well.
00:49
So it's really nice to mix with cheddars.
00:51
We're gonna top it with two pieces of bread,
00:54
and then we'll slather it with lots of butter.
00:57
This is a european style from Straus Family Creamery.
01:01
So put this on a medium heated pan for six minutes.
01:05
You can even put a plate on top to press it down,
01:08
or if you have a panini at home.
01:10
So here we have the perfect grilled cheese sandwich,
01:13
it's ooey-gooey in the center,
01:15
you can see the coffee flakes from that cheese.
01:18
Look at it spread apart, yum.

look at it melting down the side.
