Okay, so, ooo, hi, hello, okay.
00:10
Alright.
00:11
Erm.
00:12
Erm.
00:14
Rings?
00:15
Like wring it's neck?
00:18
I'm gonna try.
00:20
I think I can figure it out.
00:23
How do you get the top off it?
00:27
Erm. (laughs)
00:34
Okay.
00:38
Wow.
00:39
I feel like you have to get this part off.
00:42
Maybe you can peel it?
00:44
This won't work would it?
00:47
It worked a little bit.
00:53
I don't know how to get the center out.
00:54
Wait a minute, this is cute.
01:04
Oh my God.
01:07
Oh, I see. What?
01:11
Oh my gosh.
01:13
What is happening?
01:16
This is terrifying.
01:17
Now what?
01:18
I'm just gonna cut it up.
01:22
I'm not gonna cut any more for the sake of my hand.
01:25
This is gonna be like a hexagon.
01:27
So I'm just gonna tear this off.
01:28
Oh no, wow, the structural integrity of the pineapple
01:33
is falling apart.
01:37
Oh (bleep) me.
01:39
Okay, we're gonna cut this pineapple into rings.
01:42
First.
01:43
Cut off the top.
01:48
Then I'm gonna cut off the bottom.
01:53
Cut down the sides to take the skin off.
01:56
'Cause probably nobody wants to eat that.
02:02
Go down the middle and get rid of the core.
02:04
Just stick this down in the center.
02:11
And now I'm cutting it into the rings.
02:14
Got it done.
02:19
That's how it's done.
02:21
Half a ring, whoops, okay.
02:28
Okay, so we're gonna ring a pineapple, the first thing
02:30
you wanna do when you're getting a pineapple is just
02:32
take the top and the bottom off of the pineapple,
02:34
so that things aren't rolling away
02:36
from us when we try and cut.
02:37
In order to peel a pineapple,
02:39
we wanna stand it up and work our way down the sides.
02:42
Your goal is to get rid of the eyes,
02:45
which are the dots right here,
02:46
without losing too much flesh, okay,
02:48
so you wanna get in about a half an inch inward
02:53
working our way down.
02:56
That looks pretty good, I'm happy with that.
02:58
I'm gonna roll this guy on its side,
03:00
and I'm gonna just start cutting this into disks.
03:05
On this half what I'm gonna do is take the pineapple
03:06
and cut it into rings by hand,
03:08
and then I'm just taking the tip of my paring knife,
03:10
rotating my way around the core of the pineapple.
03:14
The goal here is just to get the core out of the center.
03:19
If you're using a pineapple coring tool,
03:22
which is this guy right here,
03:24
you can really just go straight into the top,
03:26
twist the tool, and take the core out this way.
03:30
This is a fine method, but I find that you get a
03:32
substantial amount of waste this way,
03:34
and that's because the corer works its way down the center
03:38
of the pineapple regardless of the size of your pineapple.
03:41
You end up losing this sort of
03:42
outside edge of the pineapple.
03:45
That being said, it certainly works,
03:46
and we're going to get rings out of it.
03:51
I did it.
03:55
They're ring like.
03:56
Right, right.
04:01
Wow, my delicious piece of pineapple.
04:04
(laughs) Do I like pineapple?
04:05
No, but most people tell me it's delicious,
04:07
so I believe them.
